My List of Awesome Math Resources
Asalaam ‘Alaikum:
I still remember how daunting things seemed when I first started homeschooling. I thought I needed every resource – had no idea how to determine which one was best for us – and overdid it sometimes with resources. If you have a shelf full of homeschooling books that you were sure you needed as a resource and they sat there this entire year unused – then you may know what I mean. Alhumdulilah, though – over the years you do get a little wiser (at least I hope so 🙂 )
We have found things that definitely help and we have found things that definitely do not help. While some things don’t work for everyone – as there is really no “one size fits all” in homeschooling – there are also some things that (IMHO) just don’t work. Then, there are some things that are just so wonderful it makes you wonder why everyone isn’t using them. Perhaps it’s just because they haven’t heard of them yet. So, I am going to try to change that – by sharing those resources that I absolutely – absolutely love. Insha’Allah you will find them useful too. Today, insha’Allah – I will try to focus on Mathematics skills. Other topics will be posted soon, insha’Allah.
I will keep updating this current post when I get a chance – remember to check back with me! Right now, these links are those that I use often for the girls to practice Math fluency skills – in addition, subtraction and multiplication. Worksheet sites and division will be coming soon, insha’Allah. In another post, I will also discuss any offline materials we have found useful.
Have any resources to share – please don’t keep quiet – let us know!
